Calling on my memory of arriving into the Northern McKenzie Basin just as you come over Burke's Pass on the road to Tekapo and Mt Cook.
A big sky over a dry barren land...the mountains in the distance. Although Mt Cook and Lake Pukaki are not visible from this area, I suggested them in the distance as they are one of the reasons people choose to travel this way, specifically to see and/or visit Mt Cook. New Zealand's highest mountain.
This is purely from my mind, no photo references used.
Oil on board. 600x400mm approximately. Will require framing.
