Late afternoon standing on the side of a dusty road chasing shadows. This is the point where the Taieri turns east to make it's journey south to the sea. Looking across the Waipiata district towards the plains of the Maniototo basin. The green reflecting the change in farming practices from sheep/grain to irrigated dairy farms. In the bottom part of the painting the iconic Central Otago Rail Trail winds its way across the river.
Created en plein air with palette knife and pure oil paint on board.
